Abstract Sustainability is progressively gaining importance in the winegrowing sector. Implementing this concept implies environmental soundness, social equity and economic feasibility. The aim of this article is to outline important themes, according to Finnish early childhood education researchers, that need to be addressed in researching and educating children under three years of age in Finland. To achieve this aim, the article divides into two parts. First, we present and discuss the results of a small-scale survey, conducted in Finland, on the views of key informants in the early childhood education units of Finnish universities. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.idunn.no/ts/tnb/2011/03/art06 The article presents results from a qualitative study of parents benefits in participation in course given to parents whose children are placed in foster care. The participants describe changes that had occurred in their life situations, and aspects of the course evaluated as useful. Essential findings indicate that the participants have increased self-confidence and regard their children in a new way. Foucault’s concepts of Power are applied in the analysis.

The present study tries to measure the phenomenon of recreational consumption of anabolic steroids amongst youngsters from the city of Valencia by means of the application of qualitative methodology conducted through interviews. The sample was composed by nineteen young men aged between 21 and 34 years, that were selected from fitness centers using the snowball sampling technique. Individuals under use and abuse of anabolic steroids present patterns of consumption similar to other substances of abuse: low risk perception, repeated use and dose increase, as well as the lack of information among them.
